Q:
Is there state sales tax on my order?
A:
Orders shipped within Pennsylvania are subject to 6% Sales Tax. We do not collect sales tax for orders delivered outside PA.
Q:
How do you determine the discounted price of your LaneVenture WeatherMaster furniture, replacement cushions, pillows and pads sold on the internet?
A:
As an Authorized LaneVenture Dealer since 1975 we are bound by Dealer Policy Standards for Internet Sales. Based on this agreement we are not permitted to display prices for Current WeatherMaster Furniture Collections or WeatherMaster Replacement Cushions. Please call or Contact Us for pricing.
Q:
How quickly will I receive my new LaneVenture WeatherMaster Replacement Cushions or Furniture after I place my order?
A:
Lane Venture Replacement Cushion Orders usually ship within three (3) weeks, pending fabric availability. Please allow one (1) week for transit time to your Home. Normal Cushion Orders ship via FedEx and can be left on your porch. Oversized Cushion Orders are shipped via Old Dominion Freight Lines which require that someone receive & sign for the shipment.
Lane Weathermaster Furniture Orders normally ship within about (3) weeks. For Standard "Curbside" Delivery Please allow about one (1) additional week transit time to your Home. Optional White Glove Delivery will add about (1) additional week to normal delivery times.
Although delays are infrequent they can occassionally occur. You will be immediately notified in the event of any delay due to an out of stock frame or fabric. Please place your order far enough in advance to allow for minor delays which may occur during peak ordering season from April to July .
Q:
I am unsure which LaneVenture Furniture Collection I have. How can I be certain before I place an order for replacement cushions?
A:
If you are uncertain, please email pictures of your set to SALES@WICKEREAST.COM and we will assist you in identification.
Q:
Does LaneVenture sell replacement "covers" for my original WeatherMaster cushions which would allow me to reuse my seat and back cushion cores to reduce my total cost?
A:
Yes. Although LaneVenture does sell replacement "casings only" for seat & back cushions, this is not normally a recommended option. Typically after years of use the core of your old cushion has probably become compressed and flattened to the point that there is a noticeable loss of thickness as well as overall comfort. This condition will often result in the new cushion cover appearing to be much too large when applied over your old cushion core.
Please contact us for pricing if you wish to pursue this option.
Q:
Why are there different Grades and Prices for fabrics?
A:
The price of fabrics is largely determined by the Textile and Fabric Finishing Mills who manufacture them. This process takes into consideration the composition of the fabric such as polyester, olefin or acrylic, whether the material is non-woven (printed) or woven, as well as the overall size, color, and complexity of producing an individual pattern.
Q:
Do higher price fabrics always outperform a lesser price fabric from the standpoint of wear or fading?
A:
Not Necessarily. There are several types of outdoor rated fabrics which include Solution Dyed Polyester, Solution Dyed Olefin, and Solution Dyed Acrylic such as Sunbrella™ Brand Fabrics. LaneVenture offers many Solution Dyed Acrylics which will perform equally, regardless of the grade.
Q:
Do certain fabric colors perform better than others when used outdoors?
A:
Premature fading is much less a factor if you select a Solution Dyed fabric such as Sunbrella Brand for this application.
Q:
Is mildew ever a factor with outdoor cushions?
A:
Occasionally. Mildew grows on dirt, pollen or other organic matter which collects on the surface of a material which remains damp and shaded for extended periods of time. This condition is most prevalent on covered or screened porches, as well as fully exposed areas, particularly with northern exposure. Cushions should be kept clean using LaneVenture Care & Maintenance Instructions or Sunbrella® Care & Cleaning Instructions. Keep a close watch for this condition during long periods of overcast and humid weather, even if you are currently using outdoor furniture covers. Although excessive sunlight is not recommended, a moderate amount will actually help to curtail this problem.
Q:
Is it necessary to store my cushions indoors during the winter season if I already have outdoor covers for my furniture?
A:
Although it is recommended that both furniture frames and cushions be stored indoors during the off season when possible, the cushions should always be removed and stored in a dry location. We have heard of isolated instances over the years where critters such as mice and squirrels have completely destroyed furniture and cushions when left outside during the cold months.
Q:
What can I do to extend the lifespan and appearance of my new furniture or replacement cushions?
A:
Keep your cushions & frames clean using LaneVenture Care & Maintenance Instructions. When using these products indoors, use blinds or shades to filter sunlight from windows as well as overhead skylights. When using these products outdoors under a covered porch, the use of outdoor furniture covers is suggested to help shield the cushions and frames from the natural elements as well as dirt and pollen in the air. In a fully exposed situation, Solution Dyed Fabrics such as Sunbrella Brand and outdoor furniture covers are strongly recommended. When possible, always store your frames and cushions indoors during the off season to help protect and maximize the lifespan of your investment.
